TREASURING CHRIST  MAKING DISCIPLES

We Believe

We Are All Broken

Everybody wants to go to heaven, but there's a problem. The Bible tells us that every one of us have sinned, and aren't able to stand in God's presence and glory (Rom. 3:23).

Everyone has sinned. Everyone is broken.  God would be just to condemn each of us for our own sin and fallenness.

Here at Brent Baptist Church, we believe what the Bible says: that we are all sinners and are all in need of a Redeemer. We need someone to heal our brokenness.

And we can't do it ourselves.

We Believe

Jesus Was Broken For Us.

Jesus, the Son of God, came to earth to live a life of perfect obedience. He is the only man who ever lived who never sinned.

He laid down His life for us by allowing Himself to be crucified as the perfect Lamb of God--the spotless sacrifice necessary to cover over our sins. But that's not all...

Jesus rose from the dead three days later, defeating death and the one who had the power of death in the process.

We were broken, and we still live imperfect lives, but because of Jesus, we are forgiven and made into a new family: the church.

He has taken the broken pieces of our lives and made us into a Gospel family, through which His light can shine.

We Believe

We Are Called to Love Like We've Been Loved

Since we know what it's like to be broken and without hope and yet receive the love of Jesus despite ourselves, we are learning to love others like we have been loved.

Of course, it's a process, but we're thankful for the daily mercies made new for us with each morning sunrise.

No, we're not a perfect church, but we know that. We hope that you, if you are looking for hope, looking for acceptance, looking for love, that you will find it where we did: first in Christ, and then in His Church.
